Greetings my fellow Blue Knights,
Summer is in it's waning weeks and I thought it would be fun to get together to celebrate the coming of fall (and hopefully warmer fall weather) so I thought about an Autumnal Equinox dinner on the evening of September 23(the equinox) at BARONE'S RESTAURANT, 475 St. John St. Pleasanton Ca. I thought me might meet there about 6pm for drinks, dinner and gabbing with friends. if the weather cooperates we might be on the deck in front. Around here fall is usually the best weather, not too hot, not to cool but whatever the weather ride your bike, bring your cage or ride a bicycle but get there. I had hoped this to be a semi-spur of the moment ride...but day to day life being what it is a little early warning is necessary. I haven't made reservations at the restaurant as yet because I am hoping to hear from you as to whether you can make it. I've always wanted to sample the food at Barone's so Sue and I will be there no matter what. So let me know if you can join us to celebrate fall 2010. Ps. Don't forget your nominations for our board positions we need them ASAP so we can put together the ballot and have results ready for our business meeting in December. Click on link below.
The BLUE KNIGHTS® INTERNATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT MOTORCYCLE CLUB is the oldest and largest law enforcement motorcycle club in the world. Founded in Bangor, Maine in the Spring of 1974 by seven municipal police officers, the Blue Knights has grown to over 20,000 active members and 606 chapters located in 29 countries, representing all facets of sworn law enforcement internationally. Membership in the Blue Knights is open to active and retired full-time and active reserve sworn, governmental, law enforcement officers that ride (any make) motorcycle off-duty. Make no mistake, WE ARE THE GOOD GUYS. We are (or were) full-time or reserve, police officers, sheriff's deputies, highway patrolmen, federal, state and county law enforcementagents and investigators that love riding motorcycles. Not just one brand or type of motorcycle, but all kinds from cruisers to sport bikes. You name it, we ride it! We feel that everyone should be free to ride whatever bike they choose, as long as they ride it safely. Law enforcement camaraderie is much more important to us.
The CA VII
Chapter was chartered in February 1991 and is the oldest
(continuously chartered) WCC Chapter in California. We are also one of
the largest chapters in the
West Coast Conference.
We currently have over 131 members
from various Law Enforcement Agencies throughout the Greater San
Francisco Bay Area.
