Appointed Officers and Committees:

The duties of the Appointed Chapter Officers and Committee Members are defined in Article VI, Section 6.03 of the By-Laws of The Blue Knights' International Motorcycle Club, Inc.

Any member in-good-standing (and in some limited cases, their spouse or significant other), may hold an appointed position within the Chapter or be appointed to a Chapter Committee. The Chapter President may make appointments or delegate responsibilities, as he sees fit, by defining and implementing additional non-elected positions or creating committees within the Chapter. At the request of the President, chapter members that volunteer to do so, may be appointed to any number of the many appointed "officer" positions within the chapter, including, but not limited to the following; (voting or non-voting) Director (must be a member), Ride Director, Ride Captain, Webmaster, Quartermaster, Newsletter Editor, Recruiting Director, Safety Officer, Historian, Chaplain, Charity Coordinator, Fundraising Director, and Event Coordinator.

Any number of committees may be formed for the purpose of conducting Chapter business. Such Committees may be designated to assist or oversee the Chapter Executive Board, at the discretion of the Chapter President.

Appointed Officers and Committee Members have certain fiduciary responsibilities and must perform their appointed duties, as designated by and under the direction of the President and/or the Office they are assisting (Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer), in a faithful and diligent manner, keeping the best interests of the General Membership foremost at all times while exercising the powers of their appointed position(s).
