We depart at noon on
Thursday, July 9, 2009 from Hooters, Dublin at noon and return the afternoon of Sunday, July 12,
2009.
For now the plan is to take a nice ride down the coast on
Thursday afternoon. We'll make a Vince stop at the Big Sur
bridge. After we will mosey on down to Morro Bay for the night. Friday
we will take 58 across to Button Willow. I am not sure where we will go
from there, but I do know that I don't want to all the way to 395 and
then up in all that heat.
So I'm open to suggestion for another 200 or so miles from Button Willow
on Friday and the route for Saturday and then home Sunday. If you have
suggestions, make them soon because I am rarely open to suggestion and
the store will close as soon as possible.

all been waiting for. Cramer's 8th Annual Brown Water Run. I have to

claim 100% participation. That is "Dinosaur Mike Foster". Mike has
contributed most of the information and planning for the 8th. Thanks Mr.
Foster.

Day 3 - Saturday 7/11/2009 (200 miles about 5 hours)
This will be some of the best riding of the run. We will go through
Yosemite on SR 120 and over
Tioga Pass (9,945 feet). If you didn't know, Tioga Pass is closed
a good part of the year due to snow. It is also one of the most scenic
rides in California. Yosemite is pretty awesome itself.
We will come out on US 395 and head north to Topaz Lodge at
Topaz Lake.
We will have plenty of time for stops and a visit to Mono Lake.

Day 4 - Sunday 7/12/2009 (200 miles about 5 hours)
Our last day will be another beautiful ride. We'll begin the day by back
tracking to SR-89 and then west over
Monitor Pass near Leviathan Peak. We will be close to 9000 feet.
For those Clampers in the group; you will be pleased to note that we
will have time for a brief stop in Murphy's.
We'll follow SR-4 to Stockton and then run on home. By now you will have
noticed that we have shortened the distance of the usual Brown Water Run
from about 1,100 miles to about 845 miles. This will allow for a few
vista stops, make for a more relaxed ride, and will eliminate the
marathon last day.
